Official Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Upload Guidelines

The Staff Selection Commission enforces strict technical parameters for digital images uploaded during One-Time Registration (OTR) and individual examination applications (including SSC Combined Graduate Level [CGL], Combined Higher Secondary Level [CHSL], Multi-Tasking Staff [MTS], and GD Constable). Failure to comply with these parameters often leads to instant application rejection without an opportunity for manual correction.

Critical Instructions for SSC Photograph

Recent SSC guidelines specify that photographs must not be more than three months old from the date of the publication of the notice of examination. The background should ideally be plain white or very light-colored. Both ears must be clearly visible, and the applicant must not wear caps, spectacles, or tinted glasses. The facial area should occupy 70% to 80% of the photograph.

Critical Instructions for SSC Signature

Signatures must be written on plain white paper using a black ink pen or blue ballpoint pen. Signatures written in CAPITAL letters are strictly prohibited by the commission and result in formal disqualification. Ensure your cropped signature is clean, properly oriented horizontally, and weighs between 10 KB and 20 KB.

Why Use KBImagesTool for SSC Submissions?

Unlike generic image compression tools that blindly degrade quality or exceed the upper limit by a few bytes, our in-browser algorithm applies a strict ceiling engine. When you select 50 KB for an SSC photograph, the engine guarantees an output strictly between 45 KB and 49.5 KB, preventing server-side upload errors on the official SSC portal.
