Official Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Image Specifications
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) and Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) manage massive pan-India employment drives such as RRB NTPC (Non-Technical Popular Categories), Group D (Level-1 Posts), Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP), and Junior Engineer (JE). Rules for RRB Candidate Photograph
The photograph must be a color passport-style portrait taken against a light (preferably white) background. The applicant should have a natural expression with eyes open and mouth closed. Selfies, side profiles, group pictures, or photos containing sunglasses and caps are rejected without notice. The photograph must be sharp and free of pixelation.
Rules for RRB Candidate Signature
The signature must be executed in running handwriting. Block or capital letters are regarded as invalid. It should be signed on white paper inside a rectangular box measuring 50 mm by 20 mm. The file must not be blurry or overexposed.
Strict File Size Adherence
The Railway portal strictly enforces the 30 KB minimum threshold for photos. If an image is 29.8 KB, the RRB server will refuse to register the file.
